Processing Art - Theme: Yayoi Kusama and Loops
2018-12-16
In the course “Processing Art”, I introduce an artist or art style each week to inspire the students. In this week, We learned the “for” loop to represent the art style of Yayoi Kusama, who used a lot of strong colored dots to draw. Every week, I tried to combine artistic thinking into the basic knowledge of coding. In order to encourage the students to create, I introduced the “four-coordinate plane”, a method to research and organize information. Students could collect and place different artists or art styles into different planes, then try to modify their code to achieve different visual effects.
